Rajagopal Sukumar - Managing Director

Raj is the founder Managing Director of Al Nabooda Insurance Brokers [ANIB] and has been the corner stone of the company’s immense success within the first 2 years of its operations. Under his able leadership, ANIB have grown from strength to strength and have become one of the major players in the region and a force to be reckoned with.
Raj’s industry experience spans two decades across GCC & India, predominantly as an Underwriter, having held senior positions in major national and multi-national insurance companies prior to moving towards insurance broking. He is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, in addition to being the only person outside of the UK to have won the prestigious global award, “Young General Insurance Professional of the Year” for 2005 from the Chartered Insurance Institute, London.
A voracious reader on varied subjects, his areas of expertise include Risk management, Research & Development and Drafting wordings for a wide variety of insurance classes. He also specializes in continuous research on Construction Risks and associated liabilities such as Professional Liability. Raj is also a widely sought after speaker at various national seminars and conferences. Amongst his other passions are training and mentoring and he is often seen at the ‘Nalanda’ training facility, sharing his experience with new recruits as well as managers and staff.
Prakash Gopalakrishnan - Director - Commercial

Prakash is an immensely experienced stalwart of the Insurance industry in UAE. He is an associate of the Indian Insurance Institute [AIII], Chartered Insurance Institute UK [ACII] and the Risk management Institute UK. His enviable experience ranges from representing the cargo owners for 10 years to a 2 year stint as a cargo surveyor to an outstanding 10 year term as an underwriter specializing in marine cargo and 7 years as an insurance broker and marketer.
He is fondly known as the ‘Marine magician’ amongst the ANIB team, for his in depth and updated knowledge of marine insurance, the laws governing it, its principles and the assistance he provides with pinpoint accuracy to clients and colleagues alike. He is a pillar of strength to Al Nabooda Insurance Brokers and a continuous source of encouragement to youngsters within the organization and joyously helps them grow into fully fledged professionals.
